Cañada College Online Orientation
Tips for using this Online Orientation
Before you begin: Orientation is the third step in the enrollment process at Cañada College. We highly recommend that before you begin this orientation you: (1) have already applied for admission to the college and (2) have already taken your placement tests.
The Cañada College Online Orientation is presented in a lesson format. Attentive study of the information will answer most of your questions about getting started at Cañada College and prepare you for a successful college experience.
The orientation is divided into 12 sections. It is designed so that you start at the beginning and go through the sections sequentially. Please read the material carefully.
You will be asked to take quizzes along the way. Your score will be printed on your Certificate of Completion and reviewed by your counselor during your counseling appointment. If you score below 80% on your quizzes your counselor may recommend that you attend an in-person orientation or retake this online orientation.
You do not need to complete this orientation all in one session. You can log off and then return later to pick up where you left off.
It normally takes 60-90 minutes to complete this orientation (It may take longer if you explore the links).
After completing the orientation you will print a Certificate of Completion and a Counseling Session Worksheet which you will bring to your first counseling appointment.
