Classified Staff Development Program

The Classified Staff Development Program is intended to provide opportunities for classified staff members to attend conference/workshops/seminars or complete a college coursework. The Classified Staff Development program, conference, and tuition reimbursement is available to permanent classified employees. The approved amount per person, per fiscal year (July 2010– June 2011) is $1000 for Conference and $1400 for Tuition Reimbursement.

If you wish to participate, please complete both application (before attending a conference or beginning a course) and reimbursement (after attending a conference or completing a course) forms. All forms can be found in the Classified Staff Development section of the District’s HR SharePoint by clicking here.

This funding is a first-come, first-serve basis.

Conference Reimbursement

Employees who wish to attend a conference/workshop or seminar may be eligible for funding. If you are interested, complete the CSD Conference Application prior to attending the event. After attending the conference/workshop and no later than 30 days, complete the Statement of Conference Expense form. Reimbursement is limited to a maximum of $1000 per conference/workshop per each fiscal year.

  • Please note that if the conference is an out of state travel, a Conference Advance form must be submitted with the application for President Mohr’s authorization.

Tuition Reimbursement

Employees who successfully complete an approved college coursework with a grade C or better towards a degree may be eligible for funding. The program is to support employees who wish to upgrade their skills and/or complete a college degree program at an accredited institution. If you are interested, complete a CSD Tuition Application before starting a course. After completing the course and no later than 30 days, complete the Request for Tuition Reimbursement form with receipts and final grades. Reimbursement for tuition, books, and related expenses (not including meals or mileage) is limited to a maximum of $1400 per fiscal year.
