Dr. Nancy Wolford, IDEC, CID
Full-time Professor of Interior Design and Program Coordinator
Dr. Wolford has teaching experience in a wide variety of interior design classes at community colleges and universities. Her areas of expertise include space planning, history of interiors, materials, Universal Design, Color, and Sustainable Design. She extensively revised the curriculum including initiating Green/Sustainable Design and Re-Design and Home Staging Certificates, the first of their kind in California.
Elsa Torres, CGBP
Assistant Full-Time Professor of Interior Design
Elsa joined the Cañada Interior Design Faculty in 2011, as an assistant full time professor, with specialties in Green/Sustainable Design and drafting. Elsa’s focus is the development and expansion of Green/Sustainable Design curriculum and certificate and transfer paths for students. She also runs the Supervised Learning Lab and the Intern Program for the department. Elsa previously taught Interior Design at Santa Rosa Junior College, as well as having her own design business.
Steven Davis
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
Steve is a registered professional engineer, with both public and private sector expertise in residential and commercial construction and applying and enforcing building codes and standards. Steve currently serves as the Building Official in the City of Fremont.
Denny Holland, Allied ASID
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design, ASID Student Chapter Faculty Advisor
Denny, a graduate of the Cañada Interior Design program, has a fine arts background and teaches the Presentation Techniques classes. He combines his fine art and painting expertise with Interior Design.
Anjana Joshi, NCIDQ
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
Anjana, with expertise in creative thinking and conceptual design, teaches Critical Thinking for Interior Design.
Sharon Kasser, ASID, CID
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
Sharon, a graduate of the Cañada Interior Design program, teaches Introduction to Interior Design and Professional Practices. Her areas of expertise are business practices and architecture of the early 20th Century.
Leia Kozel,
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
With a background in architecture, Leia is an Architectural Lighting Designer for one of the nation’s leading lighting design firms and specializes in energy efficient lighting design. Leia expands her design expertise through her work with Bay Area Lighting Educators and SPUR Young Urbanists.
David Muzio,
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
David works in the custom home building and construction business, with expertise in AutoCAD as he has been using the various versions for many years. Dave has developed company drafting standards for past companies he has worked with and currently oversees the drafting of his co-workers. Dave also trains new employees and interns on the software.
Debra Norris, CKD
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
Debra, a Certified Kitchen Designer, has worked for several firms in the Bay and Sacramento areas. Her expertise is in Kitchen and Bath Design.
Kenneth Rose, CKD
Adjunct Professor of Interior Design
Ken’s expertise is in Kitchen and Bath Design as well as furniture design and interior detailing. A Certified Kitchen Designer, he has an extensive background in the custom design of furniture and cabinetry, as well as kitchen and bath design.
