Apply to Cañada Middle College

Step 1 - Complete the Cañada College Applicaton online.

All students must complete the college application. Completing the college application will generate your college ID number. Write this number down; you will need your ID number for everything at the college. A completed college application will also generate a college email address. This is how you will recieve all your college correspondence.

Step 2 - Take the College Placement Exam

All prospective students must take the college placement exam for English, reading and math. Applicants must take the placement exams before the Middle College application deadline. Your placement will determine the classes you take. The exam is computerized, self-paced and could take 1.5 to 3.5 hours. Please review the practice questions before you take the exam.

Register to take the exam by following the instructions on the testing page or call 650.306.3452. You will need your college ID number and your password to make an appointment. You will need your college ID number and photo ID on the day of the exam. You must arrive on time or your reservaton will be given to another student. You will recieve a printout of your results at the end of the exam. Please include this with your Middle College application paperwork.

Step 3 - Print and complete the  Middle College Application 

Print and complete this application. Submit all application paperwork to the Middle College office at Cañada College by the application deadline. Call the Middle College office at 650.306.3120 if you cannot meet the deadline.  Applications may be submitted in any of the methods below:

Faxed to 650.306.3128 (students can fax from the guidance office at their home high school)

Emailed to: canadamiddlecollege@smccd.edu

Dropped off at the Middle College office at Cañada College in building 13, room 106. If the office is closed, you can slide the application under the door.

You will be contacted when the Middle College office has received your completed application.
