Fall 2010 Application Dates
Information Meetings: Thursday, March 18th & 25th - 7:00-8:00 p.m.
This meeting will include an overview of the program, a chance to talk to current students, teachers, and offer an opportunity to have your questions answered. The meeting will be held at the Sequoia Union High School District board room located at 480 James Ave. in Redwood City.
Application Deadline: Thursday, April 15, 2010
To downloaded the applications, click on the "Apply" link to the right. Return the completed applications to the Middle College office at Cañada College in Building 13, Room 106 ASAP! If the office is closed, slide the application under the door. You may also fax applications to 650-306-3128 or email them to canadamiddlecollege@smccd.edu.
College Placement Exam:
The exam is given at Cañada College in building 9, room 110 (ground floor).
Your Cañada College application must be processed before you can make an appointment or take the placement exam (you need the college ID#). All testing must be completed by the application deadline. This is the college entrance exam for English and math and will determine the classes you take. The exam is computerized, self paced and could take 1.5 to 3.5 hours. Practice questions can be found at www.canadacollege.edu/admissions/testing. You must be on time, bring your college ID number, and photo ID. Choose one of the dates below:
Dates before Middle College application is due:
Monday, March 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 10th and 17th at 8:00 a.m.
Saturday testing begins at 8:00 a.m. sharp! (no appointment needed). Date will be announced soon
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 1:00 p.m. (by appointment only).
Monday at 6:00 p.m. (by appointment only).

All testing begins promptly. If you arrive late you will not be admitted.
Registration Meeting: Monday, May 3rd 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Cañada in the Main Theatre
This meeting is for students/families that have successfully completed the first three application steps.
Interviews and Scheduling of Classes: May 8th through 20th
Individual interviews will be conducted with potential students and their parent/guardian who have successfully completed the application process. All application paperwork must be turned in to the Middle College office, and completion of college placement exams scoring at least English/Reading 836, Math 811 or above.
Students accepted into the program will be notified by June 15, 2010.
Middle College Spring session begins in early August: date will be published soon.
