To celebrate Cañada's 40th anniversary, a special morning ceremony will be held.
The Cañada College commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 29 at 10 a.m. to help commemorate the 40th anniversary of the college. the special ceremony will include students earning both degrees and certificates, reflecting the ceremony proceedings used when the college first opened its doors in 1968. To accommodate the additional students and their guests, this year's ceremony will be held outdoors at a special mid-morning celebration. California State University, East Bay President Mohammad Qayoumi will be the commencement speaker. "This will be a very important celebration of Cañada's history and a unique and beautiful commencement ceremony," said Cañada College President Tom Mohr.
