Learn About Careers in Genetic Counseling
Workshop will help students learn about a wide variety of careers available for genetic counselors.
Melissa Mills, genetic counseling intern from Stanford's Masters in Genetic Counseling, will present a workshop at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 24 in the MESA Student Lounge (Learning Center). Students can learn about the wide variety of careers available for genetic counselors. The Stanford School of Medicine’s Master of Science program in Genetic Counseling is a collaboration between the Department of Genetics and the Department of Pediatrics. Students are trained how to interpret genetic tests and transfer knowledge from the laboratories to the patients, helping them understand and deal with the test results.
