New Website Helps Students Buy and Sell Used Textbooks
Irecyclemybooks.com was developed by Cañada College student Alvaro Argote.
Cañada College student Alvaro Argote is helping his fellow students buy and sell used textbooks thanks to a website he created. Alvaro's project, irecyclemybooks.com, is designed to help students connect using the Internet to buy and sell used textbooks.
"Every semester, students are frustrated by the high cost of textbooks," he said. "I thought it would be convenient to have a website where students could connect with each other to buy and sell used textbooks."
Students can go to the site, post books that they want to buy and sell, and leave their contact information. Students are then able to connect with each other and make a deal. "The site has been very well received by students," Argote said. "They like the idea of saving money."
