Cañada Will Conduct Earthquake Drill Oct. 20
The college will participate in the Great California ShakeOut, a statewide earthquake drill.

Get ready to Drop, Cover, and Hold On as Cañada College participates in the Great California ShakeOut on Thursday, Oct. 20 at both 10:20 a.m. and 7:20 p.m.
The Great California ShakeOut drill is held on the third Thursday of October each year. Other states are also holding ShakeOut drills. More than 8 million Californians are expected to participate, practicing Drop, Cover, and Hold On and other aspects of family, school, and organizational emergency plans. Participants are also encouraged to "Secure Your Space" to reduce potential damage and injuries.
Students, staff and faculty will be asked to practice Drop, Cover, and Hold On and then will evacuate buildings. Be sure to check the 911 Zone posted in your classroom to identify your evacuation route and zone.
