Receive Free Help With Your Taxes
San Mateo County Community College District Students can receive free help with their taxes on Saturdays at CSM.

Students in the San Mateo County Community College District can now receive free help with their taxes. Trained tax preparers with the Community Tax Preparation Service will be at the College of San Mateo, South Hall Building 14, Room 104 on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. from Feb. 4 through March 18 (except Feb. 18). No appointment is needed and the help is free. Be sure to bring:
- Photo ID for each person on your tax return
- Social Security card or ITIN for each person on your tax return
- W-2 forms for all jobs held in 2011
- All 1099s, 1098s and any other tax forms
- Voided check or bank account and routing number
- for direct deposit
- Last year’s tax return
- Childcare provider information
- Landlord’s name, address and phone number for CA renter’s credit.
Your 2011 income must be less than $50,000 to qualify for the free help. If you have questions, call (650) 378-7323 or email VITA@smccd.edu.
